Advanced Obedience
For dogs of any age. 5 weeks of training with 1-hour sessions per week.
Have you gone over the basics with your dog and wonder where to go from here? There are so many things we can build on with a foundation already in place.
Does your dog sit and lie down but you are having trouble getting them to do it while there’s other stuff going on? Does your dog walk well on a leash but still gets really excited when you pass people and other dogs? Do you want to take your dog out to lunch with you or to other dog-friendly places in public but are worried about the way they will behave?
In our sessions we will be working on fine tuning the skills your dog has, such as sit, down, and working on their behavior in public. We will be practicing skills such as getting your dog to respond to you from a distance, heeling, a place command, and any other skill you want performed on command. We will also be working on their behavior in public around multiple distractions like people and other dogs.
This is a class that builds on the skills learned in basic obedience, but we do welcome any owners that have dogs with basic skills.
