Swim Lessons
One half-hour lesson. Local, in-person training only.
Are you having trouble finding activities to do with your dog during the hot summer months? Wouldn’t it be nice to get all that energy out and not worry about overheating your dog? Swimming can be a great activity for your dog. We are in Florida, and a lot of outdoor activities are centered around the water. As an owner, I am sure you would love to take your dog to the beach or out on the boat. Swimming burns more energy than running and playing, and it’s cooler and will not overheat your dog.
Not all dogs are born to love the water, however. If you have a puppy, this is the perfect time to introduce them to swimming, since puppies are a lot more receptive to new experiences. But you can teach an older dog to enjoy the water, as well. You just have to show them that it is fun!
Maybe your dog just isn’t sure how to feel about water or maybe they’re scared because it is something foreign to them. With positive training methods, we can teach your dog to enjoy the water and enjoy swimming by having positive associations with both.
